For the second consecutive day the pupils of Francisco El Kid Rodríguez They emerge victorious after delivering a knockout in the U-15 World Cup held in the Dominican Republic. This time the victim was Peru’s ninth, a team that succumbed 12 runs to 2.
Rodríguez (in the photo) remains an undefeated pilot after the victory in the first round over the IOC-suspended Guatemala, which competes in the event as a member of the WBSC. The vinotinto squad has 22 runs for and two against so far in the tournament.
The team led by strategist Rodríguez achieved two victories in Group B of the World Cup. The two beatings inflicted by Venezuela serve as a cushion for the road ahead. There are 12 teams and there will be five places available for the category World Cup.
The Venezuelan team will have three tough matches starting next Monday. The squad led by Rodríguez will have to compete with the representation of Cuba. Venezuela is located in sixth place in the world ranking; while the islanders are in eighth position.
Then Vinotinto will see action against Nicaragua, located in 20th place in the ranking and will close the first round against Puerto Rico, ninth that is in box 12. The first six teams advance to the round-robin of the second round where the medals.
In the last U-15 World Cup held in Valencia in 2022, the teams of Venezuela and Panama shared the trophy for first place after being tied. On the field it will be remembered that Cuba beat Venezuela, but was left out of the race for using a disabled player.

«This is a good team, we have good left-handed pitchers who have good command. On offense we have good guys like center fielder Francisco Rentería, right fielder Jesús Chávez or second baseman Abel Hidalgo,” said manager Kander DePablos.
