Young racer Veda Ega Pratama is again Indonesia’s mainstay in aiming for the 2024 Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) title in the SS600 class.

After winning the 2024 Asia Talent Cup, Veda Ega moved up from AP250 to SS600. It is hoped that Veda Ega’s presence can reclaim the SS600 title won by Andi Farid Izdihar.

In the 2004 AARC SS600, Astra Honda Racing Team (AHRT) fielded three racers. Apart from Veda Ega, there are also Adenanta Putra and Rheza Danica Ahrens.

AHM General Manager Marketing Planning and Analysis Andy Wijaya hopes that his racers can aim for victory in the first round at the Buriram Circuit, Thailand, this weekend, March 15-17, in order to continue Indonesia’s glory.

“With the spirit of One Heart to Achieve a Dream, the Astra Honda Racing Team is ready to reaffirm its glory in the 2024 Asia Road Racing Championship in the first round on the Chang International Circuit track, Thailand,” said Andy.

“We are optimistic that good teamwork can provide positive and proud results for Indonesia,” Andy added.

Meanwhile, Veda Ega said he wanted to enjoy racing at the Buriram Circuit later. Veda Ega admitted that she was not embarrassed appearing in a new class.

“I have had the impression of 600cc racing in the national championship some time ago. I will try to enjoy racing and make progress in my abilities on the racing arena,” said Veda.

Meanwhile, for the AP250 class, racers such as Herjun Atna Firdaus and Kiandra Ramadhipa who use the CBR250RR are expected to defend their championship title.

The two ARRC Thailand races which will open this season will be held on Saturday (16/3) and Sunday (17/3), respectively at 14.00 WIB for the AP250 class and 14.50 WIB for the SS600 class.
