Tel came from Stade Rennes in 2022 for a transfer fee of around 20 million euros.
When he was introduced two weeks ago, the new sports director Max Eberl described the attacker as an “outstanding example” of a “developable talent” who FC Bayern wanted to give more playing time.
Tel has appeared in 31 competitive games for Bayern so far this season, scoring seven goals and four assists.
He and his management had repeatedly emphasized that he wanted to assert himself in Munich. Recently there have been rumors about Tel’s future, with Manchester United mentioned as interested parties.
