The defensive specialist scored his only Bundesliga goal (in 48 appearances) at the end of the 9th matchday of the 2022/23 season when he scored the golden goal at VfB Stuttgart (1-0).

At the tender age of 16, Jaeckel left the FC Energie Cottbus youth academy to take his next development steps at VfL Wolfsburg. After a total of four years in Lower Saxony, Jaeckel moved on to SpVgg Greuther Fürth, for whom he played 70 competitive games (two goals) between summer 2018 and 2021.

As a second division regular and newly crowned U-21 European champion, Jaeckel moved to Berlin to fulfill his dream of the Bundesliga. In the current season, Jaeckel played five Bundesliga games and three in the premier class.
