UEFA Europa League Semi-Final Match-ups Revealed: Liverpool, Atalanta, AC Milan, and AS Roma Face Off

The winner of “Benfica” from Lisbon – “Olympique” from Marseille will meet with “Liverpool” or “Atalanta” from Bergamo in the semi-finals.

The winner of the duel between the Italian clubs “AC Milan” and “AS Roma” and “Bayer” Leverkusen or “West Ham United” (England) will meet in the second semi-final.

Led by German coach Jurgen Klopp, the main favorite “Liverpool”, which has already won the League Cup in England this season and defeated “Sparta” Prague 11-2 in the round of 16 of the Europa League, will meet “Atalanta”.

In the 2020/2021 season, the clubs met in the group stage of the Champions League, with “Liverpool” winning 5-0 away, and “Atalanta” winning 2-0 in London.

On the other hand, the winners of last season’s European Conference League, West Ham “United” players, after the victory over the Freiburg club, faced a stronger opponent – the 1988 UEFA Cup winner “Bayer”, which is undefeated in all 37 games of the season so far.

The quarter-final matches are scheduled for April 11 and 18, while the semi-finals will take place on May 2 and 9. The winners of the sum of two games will advance to the next round.

In the UEFA Europa League group stage, 32 teams were divided into eight groups. The first two entered the elimination tournament, the first place winners immediately securing a place in the second round. The runners-up were joined in the first round by the eight third-placed teams in the Champions League groups. On the other hand, the winners of the third place moved to the European Conference League competition, while the European Cup season was over for the winners of the fourth place in the groups.

The final match of the European League will take place in Dublin, the capital of Ireland, on May 22.

In the previous season, “Sevilla” became the seven-time winner of this tournament, which beat “AS Roma” in the final in a shootout.
