The Pirates of La Isla and the Wasps from Santiago shared honors at the Cristóbal Labra. In the first, the filibusters won 7-5 despite Eduardo García’s home run and then, with Euclides Pérez’s home run, the indomitables dominated 6-2.

Others who divided in the double bill were the Industriales de La Habana and the Elefantes de Cienfuegos, at the September 5 venues.

In the ultimately sealed game, the dreams prevailed 11-5 with the hot wood of Félix Rodríguez, who in addition to hitting a bases-loaded home run drove in six runs.

Finally, Hurricanes de Mayabeque and Cazadores de Artemisa also left without grievances by dividing into two challenges with little offensive.

With a score of 5-2, the first team triumphed with complete work by Yadián Martínez and a full return hit by Dennis Laza, who went 2-for-4 with a trio of RBIs.
