Toronto Raptors Forward Scottie Barnes Undergoes Surgery for Fractured Hand

Young forward Scottie Barnes underwent surgery on his fractured left hand Monday in Los Angeles, the Toronto Raptors announced.

The procedure was performed by Doctor Steven Shin. The team did not say when Barnes might return to action.

The 22-year-old athlete was injured last Friday during a duel against the Golden State Warriors. The Raptors then spoke of an indefinite absence.

Averaging 19.9 points per game, along with 8.2 rebounds and 6.1 assists, Barnes played in the NBA All-Star Game for the first time in his career last month.

In 60 games this season, he has scored at least 20 points 34 times and has 25 doubles.

The West Palm Beach, Fla., native is in his third campaign with Toronto, who selected him 4th overall in the 2021 draft.
