On March 23 and 24, it’s time for the 2023 edition of the Limoges Métropole Triathlon. More than 600 participants will be there.
This weekend, Limoges is switching to triathlon mode! An event that comes in four formats and children’s races to mobilize as many people as possible. The Limougeaude city will be mobilized as a whole. Indeed, the route involves the Aquapolis, the Ester Business Park and the Zénith Limoges Métropole.
Aquapolis at the heart of the event
“For us, it’s really the flagship event of the year,” confirms Yohan Maury, director of the Aquapolis site. We will find the regulars of Aquapolis, but this third edition will also allow us to attract potential new users, people who participate and who are not used to coming to the establishment. The swimming part of the triathlon will take place in the aquatic area. There are undoubtedly participants who will say to themselves that it is more practical to come to the Aquapolis than to swim in a lake or a body of water. And then the Limoges Métropole Triathlon attracts a lot of people, we will be able to reach an audience beyond the department. This is a great opportunity to anchor ourselves a little more in the region. »
Originality is at the heart of this 2024 edition, which focuses on certain new features. “Last year, the start was a slide that went from the stands to the pool. We really liked it, so we’re doing it again this year, says the site director. In terms of new features, there are two races for children, but also a majestic arrival on our footbridge which overlooks the entire Aquapolis. » A magnificent setting which should allow the Limoges Métropole Triathlon to attract even more participants this weekend.
