Title: Novak Djokovic Parts Ways with Coach Goran Ivanisevic: What’s Next for the Tennis Star?

Thunderclap on the tennis planet!

Novak Djokovic announced this Wednesday the end of his very fruitful collaboration with his coach, Goran Ivanisevic. The world number 1 paid a magnificent tribute to the Croatian with whom he parted ways on good terms.

“I clearly remember the moment I invited Goran to be part of my team. It was 2018, and Marian (Vajda) and I were looking to innovate and bring a little magic to our duo. In fact, we didn’t just bring a new service: also lots of laughs, fun, end-of-year #1 rankings, broken records and 12 more Grand Slams (and a few finals) since then. . Did I mention a little drama too? Goran and I decided to stop working together a few days ago. Our on-court relationship has had its ups and downs, but our friendship has always been rock solid. In fact, I’m proud to say (I’m not sure if he is) that in addition to winning tournaments together, we also had a side battle in Parchisi (game of small horses, editor’s note)… for many years. And this tournament never stops for us. Thank you for everything my friend. I love you. »

The man with 24 Grand Slam titles continues to make big changes within his team, two years after the end of his collaboration with his historic coach Marian Vajda and a few months after the departure of his agent, Eduardo Artali.

It remains to be seen whether Nole will continue only with his friend Carlos Gomez‐Herrera at his side or whether he will hire a new coach in the coming weeks.
