Tickets for the Latvia-Georgia Olympics basketball qualifying tournament game are sold out in a few hours

Currently, tickets are still available for the game where Latvian basketball players will play against the Philippine national team, as well as for the semi-finals of the Olympic qualification tournament, in which Latvia’s participation is also possible.

There are fewer tickets left for the final match of the qualifying tournament. Fans can also buy tickets for duels between other teams.

Online ticket sales for the men’s basketball qualifying tournament for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games in Riga were initially delayed on Wednesday.

Tickets for the qualifying tournament matches could be purchased on the websites “Basket.lv” and “Bezrindas.lv” starting at 3 p.m. As observed by the LETA agency, the purchase of tickets is significantly faster in the west.

“There was too much interest in the tickets. The service sagged a little, and now everything is fine,” Kaspars Tsipruss, general secretary of the Latvian Basketball Association (LBS), informed LETA on Wednesday afternoon.

“In the two-hour advance sale, fans who registered on the platform “6speletajs.lv” bought 15,000 tickets, which is more than 50% of the currently available tickets for the matches of the Latvian national team, including possible semi-final and final matches,” LBS reports on Twitter.

The qualification tournament will take place from July 2 to 7 at Arena Riga. The Latvian men’s basketball team will meet the Philippines and Georgia in its subgroup, while Brazil, Cameroon and Montenegro will compete in the second subgroup.

Tickets are available for all nine matches – six matches in the group stage, both semi-finals and the final. Tickets must be purchased separately for each game and up to ten tickets can be purchased in one purchase.

Tickets for subgroup tournament games cost from 15 to 69 euros, for semi-final games, ticket prices are from 19 to 79 euros, and tickets for the final game can be purchased from 19 to 99 euros.

Children up to and including six years of age do not need a ticket if the child does not occupy a separate seat.

Subgroup matches will take place on July 2, 3 and 4. The Latvian national team will play its first match on July 2, meeting with Georgian basketball players, and on July 3, the Latvians will play against the Philippines.

The two best teams of each subgroup will qualify for the semi-finals, which will take place on July 6, and on July 7, the winners of the ticket to the Paris Olympic Games will be determined in the final match.

The qualification tournaments will be held from July 2 to 7, 2024, while the men’s basketball tournament at the Paris Olympics will take place from July 27 to August 10, with the group stages held in Lille and the decisive matches in Paris.
