As the employee prefers to remain anonymous, a friend made statements on her behalf to the British media. MailOnline. “She is very disappointed in how they handled the situation, especially because she did everything she had to do,” she commented. “She made her complaints private and did everything right, but she feels very disappointed with the company“.
Both the employee and her friend question the way Horner was investigated. “Questions need to be asked about the Red Bull investigation, a little transparency would inspire confidence in what is happening to them.”
He goes on to ask: “Who at Red Bull had access to the confidential information? Who at Red Bull is making these decisions and who is making an effort to discover the source from which the information was leaked?”.
“She just can’t get over the fact that she made a complaint and got suspended. All she wants is transparency in the process,” her friend added. Apparently, after the scandal, the employee received many messages of support and was inundated with offers to make statements, but she prefers not to speak for the moment.

An internal F1 source said: “She was not looking for any of this and now that she has been suspended, the message is very clear, It implies that women should stay silent or they will lose their jobs.,” and added that the way Red Bull handled the situation was going to “discourage other women who may have gone through similar situations in F1 from making statements.”
Christijan Albersformer Dutch F1 driver, spoke with The Telegraph to warn that Horner has a “fearsome amount of power.” In his statement he said that “the way this was received and dismissed, you only angered the other side. I think more things are going to appear“.
The employee who made the accusations has hired lawyers and plans to appeal Red Bull’s decisions.
