The RFEF provisionally suspends Albert Luque and Rubén Rivera from their duties

MADRID, 27 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

This Wednesday, the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) provisionally suspended its Marketing Manager, Rubén Rivera, and the director of the senior team, Albert Luque, for their coercion of forward Jenni Hermoso following the non-consensual kiss he gave her. Luis Rubiales, after the indictment made by the Prosecutor’s Office.

“The RFEF has decided to remove from their duties the directors investigated for coercing the player Jenni Hermoso, following information about her indictment from the Prosecutor’s Office in this case,” the Federation indicated through its website.

“In this sense, the Marketing Director, Rubén Rivera, and the sports manager of the national team, Albert Luque, will stop carrying out their duties until this judicial matter is clarified,” the RFEF concluded in its press release.

Thus, this Wednesday the Prosecutor’s Office asked the National Court to sentence Luque, Rivera and also Jorge Vilda to 1 year and 6 months in prison for this crime of coercion, who was the women’s coach when Rubiales kissed Hermoso without permission in Sydney (Australia).
