Only two regional winners entered the qualification for the third highest competition. Therefore, there will be no fight for promotion this year, the right to participate in the second league season 2024/25 automatically went to Kadani and Orlové.
The first application was submitted by the club SK Prostějov 1913, which fantastically turned the final with Kroměříž from 0:2 to 3:2 after the matches. On Tuesday, however, he made the difficult decision not to enter the qualification.
“After a tough semi-final and final, we only had ten players available. The players played the finals by themselves, so it was up to them, taking into account their families and health, how they would decide about qualification. Playing the qualification with a junior girl did not make sense from a sporting point of view or for the spectators. We want to play hockey not only with the heart, but also with the mind, and it won in this case,” the Hanáci said on their website.

This year, the association announced two promotion places and since only Kadaň and Orlová signed up to fight for the second league, there was nothing to solve – both applicants won the right to start in the next year.
“We are quite sorry that the play-off is not being played, because after a successful season we wanted to treat our fans to fights in the play-off and, above all, other opponents,” MHK Slovan Orlová president Daniel Marosz told the club’s website.
His team beat Uničov 3-0 in the final, but it is not yet clear whether the third highest competition will return to Orlová after five years. “We are not clear yet, there were some negotiations with the sponsors and the city management even before the start of the playoffs and we will continue them, so everything is open,” revealed Marosz.

The second league could return to Kadana, which won its regional competition without a single loss, after 26 long years. Even the management there does not yet know whether they will submit the application. “For us, there is a period of negotiations with partners and sponsors, as the financing of the third highest competition is more demanding in every way,” the club confirmed on the skkadan.cz website.
The competition left Velké Meziříčí, which did not manage the series for retention with Řisuty. On the contrary, Znojmo fell from the Chance League after a year.
