The Malaga tennis player Alejandro Davidovich, number 28 in the world rankings, said goodbye to the Miami Open this Sunday by losing in the third round to the eighth, the Norwegian Casper Ruud, 6-3 and 6-4 in one hour and 36 minutes.

For his part, Davidovich has had a discreet time in the two spring Masters 1,000 on American soil since in Indian Wells the man from Malaga said goodbye at the first opportunity with a defeat in the second round against the Frenchman Arthur Fils, number 37.

Davidovich’s defeat in Miami also leaves Alcaraz (2) as the only Spanish representative still in competition. The Murcian will face the Frenchman Gael Monfils (47) this morning (not before midnight, Spanish time) in the third round. If he goes to the second round he would meet the winner of the duel between the Italian Musetti and the American Shelton.
