SLIDESHOW – At the end of a weekend marked by the big victory of the Blues in rugby against Wales and the defeat of Frenchman Benoit Saint Denis in MMA against Dustin Poirier, find out what we liked and disliked about the Sports editorial team at Le Figaro.

Another weekend full of emotions, strong images and shocking results on the sporting planet. On the rugby side, the XV of France signed its second victory in the 2024 Six Nations Tournament by outclassing Wales in Cardiff. Meanwhile, Stade Toulousain was surprised in Perpignan in the Top 14 when it had the opportunity to take control of the championship.

In football, PSG was held by Reims in Ligue 1 with Kylian Mbappé replacing at kick-off, while Bayer Leverkusen is closing in on the title in Germany. In these two championships, the name of the champion is already known. Not in England: Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City are one point at the top of the Premier League.

Motor sports delivered no surprises with the triumph of the reigning world champions: Max Verstappen at the Formula 1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and Francesco Bagnaia at the MotoGP Qatar Grand Prix.

Finally, the long-awaited MMA fight between Benoit Saint Denis and Dustin Poirier turned sour for the Frenchman. Author of an impressive first round, he was knocked out by the American in the second. The best images from the weekend can be found in the slideshow below.
