The decision taken by the NRL steering committee “is part of the logic of installing the Pro D2 final as a premium event, by organizing it in the same stadium over time to deploy an ambitious and value-creating development strategy for the Pro D2”explains the league.
The choice fell on Toulouse because of the geographical location of the city, the density of the population interested in rugby and its “very strong rugby culture”continues the League.
At the end of the 30 days of the Pro D2 regular season, the first two are qualified for the semi-finals, where the winners of the two play-off matches contested by the clubs classified between 3rd and 6th places join them.
The winner of the final is promoted to Top 14; the loser plays at home a play-off against the 13th in the elite.
