The trial concerning the doping test case of Gabriel Barbosa, known as Gabigol, rendered its judgment this Monday March 25 and the verdict is heavy for the 27-year-old striker… Passed by Inter Milan and Benfica, the latter thus was found guilty of fraud during a doping test and will be suspended for two years. Note that the Brazilian international can still appeal to reduce his sentence.

As a reminder, the incident occurred on April 8, 2023 at the Flamengo training center. According to the Brazilian press, the player was accused of having disrupted the testing procedure from 8:40 a.m., when the people responsible for collecting the sample for analysis arrived on site.
