Manchester defeated Everton on Saturday thanks to two penalties. Coach Erik ten Hag’s team won the Premier League match at Old Trafford 2-0.
Bruno Fernandes converted the first penalty in the twelfth minute. When the ball hit the spot again in the 36th minute, the Portuguese did not get behind the ball again. Marcus Rashford connected and made no mistake.
United won 2-0 in a special way. It was only the second time in the 32-year Premier League history that ‘The Red Devils’ received two penalties in the first half. The first time was in October 2019, when Rashford and Anthony Martial both missed from 11 meters against Norwich City.
With the victory over Everton, United recovered somewhat from the loss in the city derby against Manchester City last week. Ten Hag’s team is now sixth, enormously behind leader Liverpool.
