The Syntainics MBC basketball players have suffered a severe setback in the fight to stay in the Bundesliga. The Weißenfels team clearly lost their guest game at the Veolia Towers Hamburg on Wednesday with 76:107 (33:60). While the Hanseatic League remains in the race for the play-off places thanks to its 13th win of the season, the team from Saxony-Anhalt is still only six points ahead of the first relegation zone.

Aleksandar Dziewa (24 points), Mark Hughes (18), Vincent King (13) and Jonas Wolfahrt-Bottermann (12) played the largest role in Hamburg’s success. For the Central Germans, only Charles Callison (16), Johnathan Stove (15) and John Bryant (10) were able to score in double figures.
