Twenty-three million with the 4-team format, 12 for the single final: on Friday 29 March, Serie A clubs will have to choose – during the League assembly – which format they want for the next Italian Super Cup. For sure we will go to Saudi Arabia again, as foreseen by the contract. But it is not certain whether there will still be a final four as happened in the last edition for the first time, or whether we will return to the ancient, single final.
Inter and Juventus are in for the final, but be careful: Inter is practically certain to participate in the Super Cup, given that they are winning the Scudetto by a wide margin. For Juventus it is different: the Juventus club is also thinking about the 2025 Club World Cup, which will bring 50 million into the coffers (see Spy Calcio of 26 March) but to participate in the Super Cup in Arabia it would have to win the Italian Cup, and Lazio is not I agree so much…
In the case of a final four, it is “enough” to finish second in the championship and finalists in the Italian Cup. Summer Olympic Federations: Ricci Bitti leaves, Belgian De Vos arrives

The 2027 European Games will be held in Istanbul
The executive committee of the European Olympic Committee (EOC) has unanimously awarded Istanbul the fourth edition of the European Games, scheduled for 2027. The decision was made after the sport director of the EOC, Peter Brüll, presented to the committee executive a detailed evaluation report. The document follows the evaluation visit carried out by a delegation of experts from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to Istanbul in early March. IOC experts examined the city’s capacity to host the Games by analyzing venues, transport, security, accommodation and facilities for athletes. Based on the success of Krakow-Malopolska 2023, the EOC and the Istanbul team have decided to ensure that an even greater percentage of races will serve as qualifying events for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. Istanbul’s plan for the Games European Championships 2027 does not foresee any further construction beyond those already existing or already planned for the city.
