Of this second edition of the FISDIR Italian Archery Championship, we will not only remember the numerical increase in participating clubs and competing archers, but above all the atmosphere that was felt at the “Flaminio Real” in Rome. This is because the synergy between FISDIR and FITARCO is bringing enthusiasm and awareness to the companies that have already seen the presence of archers with intellectual-relational disabilities within them for some time, who now have the opportunity to compete in official competitions. A collaboration in favor of the athletes, demonstrated by the presence of the federal President Marco Borzacchini and the National Councilor FITARCO Vittorio Polidori.
Under the supervision of the National Technical Representative Marina Lanzetta25 archers competed in three categories: beginners (10 meters), basic (15 meters), advanced (18 meters).
The Italian titles went to Marco Spanu (Speedy Sport – 395 points) e Irene Cabras (Speedy Sport – 370 points) for the beginner category, e.g Alfonso Bruno Giordano (Pol. Baupark – 452 points) e Aurora Pappalardo (Fiamma Mico Riposto – 397 points) for the basic category and ad Alessandro Capotosti (Antares – 387 points) for the advanced category, at the end of an exciting duel with Massimiliano Zannini (The Hare and the Tortoise – 373 points).
Double for the Speedy Sport also in the club rankings, relating to beginner competitions dedicated to the 10 meter distance. The Sardinian club won the title for both men and women, putting an exclamation point on an edition experienced by protagonists.
