VITERBO – WeCOM-Ortoetruria was defeated by PalaMalè against Attila Porto Recanati’s team, despite playing a first part of the match at a very high level in which they managed to put the league leaders in serious difficulty. Two spectacular quarters from both contenders, very high scores brought by high scoring percentages, fun for the huge audience that crowded the stadium in via Monti Cimini. But in the third period the Adriatics maintain the same standard of play and continue to make very few mistakes in the scoring phase, while the Stella Azzurra breaks down and favors a break which they then fail to overcome in the last quarter, despite also leading to only two possessions of delay 3′ before the final siren.
However, a very beautiful, pleasant and extremely correct match against a team that seemed to be one of the strongest of the many seen in this championship. It’s a shame that we weren’t able to maintain the same pace of play even upon returning from the changing rooms which would have allowed the Biancostellati to be able to play the entire match right down to the last ball. In the Star, Giannini’s performance was excellent, Taurchini very well, while among the guests the performances of Montanari and Gamazo were notable.
