Outside the pitch, Eberl contributed to the short-term change in mood with his positive, communicative manner. The three defeats in a row, in Leverkusen (0:3), at Lazio (0:1) and in Bochum (2:3) turned into three clear victories over Laziali (3:0), Mainz 05 (8:0) within a month. 1) and in Darmstadt (5:2).
