Skater Jenning de Boo Wins Silver at World Championship Sprint in Inzell

Skater Jenning de Boo narrowly missed out on the world title in his first World Championship sprint in Inzell. The 20-year-old from Groningen was trumped with 1.07.98 in the final 1000 meters by the Chinese Zhongyan Ning, who won in 1.07.11 and was the first Chinese to take the sprint title.

De Boo had to settle for silver. The bronze went to Canadian Laurent Dubreuil.

Nuis

Kjeld Nuis narrowly missed out on the medals in fourth place. The 34-year-old South Hollander finished third in the 1000 meters with 1.07.65, but was unable to make up for the deficit he had incurred in the second 500 meters.
