Bola.net – Persebaya Surabaya goalkeeper Ernando Ari Sutaryadi received a call-up to the Indonesian National Team. The Garuda squad will visit Vietnam in the second round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification Group F Asia Zone.
Ernando Ari was initially not included in the Indonesian national team squad to face Vietnam twice on the third and fourth matchdays of the second round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifications in Asia Zone Group F.
The reason is, Ernando Ari suffered a shoulder injury. The 22 year old goalkeeper was absent when the Indonesian National Team beat Vietnam 1-0 at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Thursday (21/3/2024).
The Indonesian national team coach, Shin Tae-yong, needs Ernando Ari. Remembering that two of the five Garuda Squad players who were sick were the goalkeepers, namely Nadeo Argawinata and Muhammad Riyandi.

Fly to Hanoi

The Indonesian national team flew to Hanoi, Vietnam on Saturday (23/3) morning WIB using a chartered Garuda Indonesia plane. Meanwhile, Ernando Ari departed on a separate plane.
The Indonesian national team also arrived in Hanoi at around 14.30 WIB. Asnawi Mangkualam Cs didn’t have much time to rest because they were scheduled to train today.
“Coach Shin Tae-yong also added ammunition by calling goalkeeper Ernando Ari from Persebaya Surabaya,” wrote PSSI.
Meanwhile, Ernando Ari suffered an injury post glenohumeral dislocation which he suffered since early February 2024 while defending Persebaya. The 179 cm tall goalkeeper should only be able to play again at the end of March 2024.
