Setback in Antalya: Julia Grabher’s Tough Comeback Journey

For Julia Grabher, her comeback after a six-month break in Antalya on Wednesday was not a good one.

First she contracted food poisoning in Turkey and her appearance was questionable, then she missed no less than five match points against the German Noma Noha Akugue in a 7:5, 5:7, 2:6 defeat.

Grabher is now recovering, but will play the next tournament in Split next week.

“Match practice is the most important thing for me at the moment, so the rest of the journey will remain intense and that’s a good thing. I’m aware that a lot of commitment and patience will continue to be required,” Grabher posted on Facebook.
