The police arrested a subject accused of entering a downtown house with the intention of robbing and, in addition, causing damage inside it with a sledgehammer.
It was shortly before 4 p.m. on Monday when agents from the Patrol Command arrested Walter Gabriel Trui Trui, 30, in the vicinity of Caronti and Zelarrayán.
Official sources reported that he had previously jumped over the wall of a nearby home and forced the patio door, causing severe damage inside with a sledgehammer and leaving general disorder in the place.
Apparently he was trying to steal taps and copper elements, without achieving his goal.
Once the officers entered their data, they found that Trui Trui had had an arrest warrant since July of last year. And as if that were not enough, in 2018 he had already made the news because he was stabbed in the chest and did not want to report the aggressor. On that occasion he was referred to Penna to be treated for the injury he had in his left pectoral.
Miraculously, that wound did not put his life at risk, although he still indicated to the police officers who interviewed him that he was going to resolve the conflict personally.
