Sebastian Vettel, after his first Hypercar tests in the Porsche 963: “It was really fun! »

Present during a 36-hour test on Tuesday with the six official drivers of the Porsche team, Sebastian Vettel had the opportunity to board the 963 which is competing in the WEC this season. The four-time F1 world champion completed 118 laps of the Aragon circuit in Spain, or 581 km.

“I keep an eye on all the disciplines and I know several current WEC drivers,” commented the German. I was curious and wanted to get an idea for myself of the potential of these cars. Porsche gave me this opportunity. And driving the 963 on this circuit was really fun! First I had to get used to it and find my rhythm. The riding experience is different, just because of the roof over your head. You also have to manage the greater weight and the tires. The program’s drivers were of great help to me, it made my task much easier. »

Three official Porsches will be lined up for the 24 Hours of Le Mans (June 15-16) and in the third, only Frenchman Mathieu Jaminet has been announced for the moment.
