Sam Whitelock (Pau): “I needed something else”

Are you a normal guy when you’ve played 153 matches for the All Blacks? The answer is yes. Normal with his feet on the ground but also curious about everything with the desire to share his experience, to pass it on so that the Pau Section and the young players he meets on a daily basis progress. At 35 years old, Sam Whitelock is an incredible competitor, always looking for improvement. “After his first matches, he called one of his former coaches with the Blacks,” says Sébastien Piqueronies, the Pau manager. He debriefed with him then he came to see us, asking us if we were interested in discussing it. That sums it up Sam.”
