Salvador Araujo Dominates National Badminton Championship With Gold in All Categories

Salvador Araujo, representative of Piura and the Peruvian Badminton team, was crowned National Champion in all modalities in the II Open that was held at the Coliseum of the Peruvian Sports Institute of Huaraz.

This national event had the participation of 90 athletes from 7 regions, which hosted the different clubs in the country such as Club Regatas Lima, AELU, Club Lawn Tennis, Club María de los Ángeles, IPD, Club Grau de Piura, among others.

Salvador Araujo, managed to win 3 Gold medals (in singles, double and Mixed) in the Under 15 category and one silver in doubles in the Under 17 category, thus adding qualifying points for the Pan American Badminton to be held in Mexico in July. of this year, which would achieve its third classification in this great competition where it will represent our country, leaving our colors high.

The next tournament where the national champion will participate will be held in the city of Lima at the AELU Club on March 14, 15, 16 and 17.
