The Zero Cuts party has gathered nearly 200 people in Madrid to support Palestine

The Recortes Cero party has met in Madrid about 200 personas, according to police sources, in a rally that was also attended by different personalities from the world of culture to support Palestine and demand a ceasefire in Gaza.

During the reading the manifestowhich was directed by the playwright Lluis Pasqual and the filmmaker Javier Fesser, among others, have demanded an end to the massacre in which 30,000 people have already died, as well as the recognition of the Palestinian State “immediately” by Spain.

Likewise, the spokesperson for Recortes Cero, Joanen Cunyat, has highlighted that “people with different backgrounds, different ideological sensibilitiessome with political acronyms and others without any type of acronym, come together in a common cause.

For his part, the singer-songwriter Miguel Rioswho also attended the rally held in front of the Reina Sofía Museum, stressed that it is necessary to go out into the streets to “awaken conscience.”

The manifesto read during the day, under the title ‘We must stop the war, neither terrorism nor genocide’, has up to 12,000 signatures from 34 countries, among which are the film directors Pedro Almodóvar and Fernando Trueba, the actors Malena Alterio, Raúl Arévalo and Aitana Sánchez Gijón, or from the world of music, such as Joan Manuel Serrat, Rigoberta Bandini, Rayden, Rozalén, Vetusta Morla, C Tangana and Amaral, among many others.

“I absolutely support the concentration of culture in favor of the ceasefire in Gaza. We have to stop this genocidal war as soon as possible. Neither terrorism nor genocide,” Almodóvar said in a video published by the ‘For War’ platform.

Likewise, in this same publication the singer Rayden has demanded an urgent ceasefire, while actress Vicky Peña has shown her “most determined” support for the rally held this Saturday.
