Rublev missed out on making it to the third round and has to say goodbye to a Master 1000 tournament early again. The young Russian already failed in round three in Indian Wells.

But his opponent, Tomas Machac, played the best match of his season and secured the most important match win of his career. It was the first time that the unseeded Czech was able to defeat a top 10 player. Machac was particularly convincing with his backhand. His backhand quality was 9.2 in this match, the highest of any player this season.

Ugo Humbert moves on one lap without any problems

The young Frenchman had no problems in his match yesterday and secured his place in the third round with a 6:4 and 6:3 win. It is still unclear who the 14th seeded Frenchman will meet next. Due to the heavy rain in Miami, all scheduled games were canceled yesterday and things are looking bad for today too.
