No one doubts that Mark van Bommel’s passage at Royal Antwerp FC is a huge success. Or should we say was, because at the Scheldt they fear that the Dutchman will leave after this season.

“Van Bommel has of course done fantastic at Antwerp. He has put himself back on the map after some poor spells at PSV and Wolfsburg,” said Boskamp in Het Belang van Limburg.

Boskamp immediately thinks of another Belgian top club that could bring in the duo from The Great Old. “Maybe to Club Brugge? Then Overmars can come along right away. They are still looking for a technical director there, aren’t they?”, concludes the Dutchman.
