Rockets Continue Winning Streak, Remain in Play-In Race

Ime Udoka’s Rockets have not thrown in the towel at any time, and against Donovan Mitchell’s Cavs they added their fifth consecutive victory by winning 117-103 with 26 points, 11 rebounds and four assists from Jalen Green.

It won’t be easy, but the Texans can still reach the play-in positions. They are currently eleventh in the West (32-35) with four games behind the Lakers, who lost Anthony Davis to injury this past morning.

The Rockets have beaten Portland, Sacramento, San Antonio, Washington and the aforementioned Cavs, and they have fifteen games left to try to achieve their goal.

«We started the game very well by moving the ball a lot. And once the shots started coming in, that generated a lot of confidence,” Jalen Green told the outlet. ESPN. “We just did what we had been doing in the last few games, and that gives us the opportunity to win,” he explained.

The Rockets closed the game at halftime with a 70-54 lead, and reached the final and final period with a +20 score on the scoreboard.

«For us, defense sets our tone. And when we don’t do it, it doesn’t give us the opportunity to win games,” acknowledged JB Bickerstaff.

“The common theme is just playing well,” VanVleet said. «Everything else will take care of itself. If we play good basketball and play together, I think we’ll have a chance down the stretch. It is there for us (the play-in), but we have to continue on the path we are on right now », he explained.

In the Cavaliers, a night to forget about their backcourt starter with 25 points and 9/26 attempts between Mitchell and Garland. The greatest exponent of him was the reserve Caris LeVert with 21 points, 7 assists and three steals.

«Donovan (Mitchell) is giving what he has. He’s doing a great job sharing the ball. He obviously missed some time with injuries, but he’s already coming back. I’m not worried about Donovan’s game because I know that when he is on the court, he gives us the opportunity to win,” Bickerstaff concluded.
