At the Triathlon World Cup in Chengdu in China, Lisa Perterer collected important points for Olympic qualification with eleventh place. The Carinthian woman needed 1:58:42 hours to complete the 1.5 km swim, 40 km bike ride and 10 km run.
Therese Feuersinger was also on course for a top placement for a long time. The Tyrolean finished the swim as the leader and ended up in 18th place. Sara Vilic came 26th, Julia Hauser gave up. Leon Pauger took 46th place among the men.
The victories went to the Swiss Julie Derron (1:55:18) and the Brit Max Stapley (1:43:25).
