‘s-Gravendeel – In 1975, a few badminton pioneers in ‘s-Gravendeel started the club and it has grown into a household name in the village and the region.

In the good years, 16 teams competed in the association and recreational competition. They played at sub-top level and they were Dutch champions in the regional competition. Unfortunately, these years are behind us and we try to keep the sport alive in the east of the Hoeksche Waard through collaboration with the clubs in Strijen, Maasdam and Puttershoek. This way we compete in various competitions with joint teams.

Towards the end of the season, badminton club Niton would like to get the residents of ‘s-Gravendeel enthusiastic about their sport, in order to fill the hall in ‘s-Gravendeel again. Padel has become a hype, but let’s not forget that badminton is just as fun and accessible and the fastest sport there is.

Throughout April, Niton will open its doors in ‘s-Gravendeel to anyone aged 18 or older who would like to practice the sport (again). On every Thursday in April you can participate free of charge and without obligation in the De Schenkel sports hall from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Rackets and shuttles are available.
