Recognizing Sporting Excellence: UMH Awards ‘Sports Promises for 2023-24 Academic Year’

The delegate of the rector of Healthy Campuses and Sports of the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH), Raul Reina, and the director of Sports Research Center (CID) of UMH, Francisco Javier Morenohave delivered the distinctions ‘Sports Promises for the 2023-24 academic year‘to ten students from Baccalaureate and Training Cycles from different educational centers in the province, “for their sporting merits and their academic resume“explains the academic institution in a note.

The event was held at the CID, located on the Elche campus of the UMH.

Future students

The delivery of scholarships from this program encourages best requests for the reconciliation of your sporting and academic activity, through sports advice aimed at optimizing sports performance and/or their subsequent incorporation as a UMH student. Specifically, the UMH Sports Promises Program consists of integrating athletes into a technical-scientific monitoring carried out by the CID of the UMHwhich helps them improve their physical and/or technical performance, depending on the type of sport they practice.

Furthermore, the program contemplates the free first year of university studies at the UMH and the priority in collaboration scholarships in the Healthy Campuses and Sports Office. Likewise, they will receive the UMH Promises Card and scientific-sports training and updating courses promoted by the CID.
