Recap of March 3rd: OKC Regains Top Spot in the West in NBA Action

Sunday leaves us with many ideas in the NBA, including strong results. We told you live about Philadelphia’s success over Dallas (highlights here), Boston’s crushing triumph over Golden State (dedicated article here) and the Los Angeles Clippers’ narrow victory over Minnesota (article here). Thanks to these results, Oklahoma City regains the top spot in the West with a success on the Phoenix pitch. The Suns try to make a late comeback but the Thunder are in excellent shape. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander continues to travel at absurd averages with 35 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists, 3 steals and 3 blocks. Jalen Williams contributes with 22 points and 3 steals, 14 and 9 rebounds for Holmgren, 13 with 5 rebounds and 3 steals for Dort, 10 for Giddey. In the Suns without Booker, Bradley Beal scored 31 points and 6 assists, 20 from Durant. Absurd evening for Jusuf Nurkic with 14 points and 31 rebounds (out of the team’s 50 total), 15 points for Eric Gordon.

Second win in a row for San Antonio against Indiana which is not going through a good period. Victor Wembanyama leads the Spurs with 31 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 blocks, 18 and 6 assists from Branham. Devin Vassell found 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists, 17 for Keldon Johnson, 12 and 8 rebounds for Sochan, 11 for Collins. In the Pacers, former TJ McConnell shines with 26 points and 5 assists, 21 and 8 rebounds from Siakam. Myles Turener scored 16 points and 10 rebounds, 13 for Mathurin, 12 with 6 rebounds and 8 assists for Haliburton.

Moving east, New York triumphs over Cleveland. Jalen Brunson immediately ends up KO in the Knicks who are led by Donte DiVincenzo with 28 points, 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Bojan Bogdanovic found 20 points, 16 and 5 assists for McBride, 14 and 3 blocks for Achiuwa, a triple-double of 13 with 19 rebounds and 10 assists for Hart. For the Cavs Sam Merrill scores 21 points, 19 and 5 assists from Garland. Jarrett Allen scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists, 17 and 5 rebounds for Okoro, 13 with 13 rebounds and 6 assists for Mobley.

Third success in a row for Orlando who beats Detroit without problems. Paolo Banchero leads for the Magic with 29 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists, 19 and 8 rebounds from Carter Jr. Markelle Fultz places 16 points, 13 and 8 rebounds for Franz Wagner, 11 and 5 rebounds from Suggs. Evan Fournier is the Pistons’ top scorer with 17 points and 5 assists, Simone Fontecchio has a great game with 15 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals. Jalen Duren scored 11 points, 10 each for Ivey and Stewart, 9 and 7 assists for Cunningham.

Finally Toronto overcomes Charlotte and tries to cultivate post-season chances. RJ Barrett leads the Raptors with 23 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists, 22 with 7 rebounds and 11 assists for Quickley. Gary Trent Jr follows with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals, 13 and 9 rebounds for Agbaji, 11 each for Dick and Nwora. Brandon Miller tries for the Hornets with 26 points and 10 rebounds, 20 and 9 rebounds from Bridges. Grant Williams scored 18 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists, 14 for Bertans, 12 and 6 assists for Micic.
