If he withdrew from the Masters 1000 in Indian Wells then confirmed his participation in the Monte‐Carlo tournament (April 6 to 14), after being reassured about the state of his back, Rafael Nadal stayed with his family a few more days in the United States where he began his training on green clay, very popular in North America.

“Some images from an incredible place. I arrived early to prepare and be able to play in the best possible location and without a doubt one of my favorite tournaments of all time. Unfortunately, I was unable to return to competition and, once the decision not to play was made, I started training on clay… green, but clay. Thanks to the tournament organizers for everything, I am sure the tournament will once again be a great success. I enjoyed every moment with my family and my team. And thank you to all my fans for their support, as always unconditional. I can’t wait to be back competing”wrote the man at the 14 Roland-Garros on Instagram.
