PSSI Imposes Fines and Bans on Persebaya Surabaya and PSS Sleman Players

The PSSI Disciplinary Committee (Komdis) imposed a fine on Persebaya Surabaya, following the match against PSS Sleman on Sunday (3/3/2024).

Based on the results of the PSSI Komdis hearing on March 5 2024, which was broadcast on the official PSSI website on Monday (11/3/2024), Persebaya received a fine of IDR 50 million.

A fine of IDR 50 million was imposed because in that match five players received yellow cards.

The five Persebaya players who received yellow cards in that match were Bruno Moreira, Yan Victor, M. Hidayat, M. Iqbal and Kasim Botan.

PSS Sleman also received a similar punishment. They were fined IDR 50 million because six players were yellow carded in the match against Persebaya.

Apart from that, the PSSI Komdis announced a three-match ban and a fine of IDR 25 million for PSS player Wahyudi Hamisi.

Wahyudi Hamisi was judged to have committed a serious foul play against an opposing player. And at other moments in the same match, he showed a middle finger gesture towards an opposing player.

This refers to Wahyudi Hamisi’s violation of kicking Bruno Moreira in the head. He also raised his middle finger to Robson Duarte. (saf/faz)
