Pradines Badminton Team Competes in Regional Division 1 Interclubs: A Recap of the Day and What’s Next

The Pradines Badmintoon pennant team was traveling this Sunday to Narbonne (Aude) to compete in the 5th day of regional division 1 interclubs. Two victories were desirable in order to move up the rankings and thus hope to remain in this division next season.

Things started off rather well during the morning meeting between Pradines and the Toulouse VCT club. The Pradinois won five games to three. Building on this dynamic, the team quickly reached 4-2 in the afternoon against Pignan (Hérault) but unfortunately missed the mark and the team conceded a 4-4 draw.

Rather positive day therefore in a championship which proved difficult and tough for the Occitanie regional 2 vice-champions, the Pradines Badminton players. A final play-off day will be played on Sunday April 21 (location to be determined) in order to confirm the final result of this 2023-2024 season.

A week of departmental interclubs awaits the club teams. The four departmental teams will be on deck this week with in particular a trip to Souillac for team 2 which plays in departmental division 1, but also teams 3 and 5, in division 2, respectively traveling to Labastide-Murat and Vigan . The club’s team 4, as part of departmental division 2, will host the Montat team this Wednesday at the EDF-Cahors gymnasium. Almost fifty players are involved in these interclubs which are, let us remember, perfectly mixed.
