Phoenix Suns Extend Winning Streak with Dominant Victory Over San Antonio Spurs

SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Devin Booker scored 32 points and went to the bench in the fourth quarter and the Phoenix Suns never trailed in Saturday’s 131-106 victory over the San Antonio Spurs to help them in his position in the postseason.

Kevin Durant added 25 points for Phoenix, which led by 32 points.

Victor Wembanyama had 13 points, five rebounds, four assists and a block in 21 minutes. San Antonio lost for the third straight game and eighth in 10 games. Keldon Johnson contributed 14 points.

Phoenix shot 59.6% from the field to earn its eighth straight victory against San Antonio.

The Suns have won three in a row to move 13 games over .500 for the first time this season. This improvement comes at the best time because Phoenix (42-29) is a half-game ahead of Dallas (41-29) with the sixth and final automatic playoff berth in the Western Conference.

Phoenix will meet San Antonio again on Monday in the final game of an eight-game home series. The Spurs have won only one of their those games.
