Saturday’s Results in the 63rd National Baseball Series

Havana, April 28 (RHC) — On Saturday of the 63rd National Baseball Series, the championship leaders, Vegueros de Pinar del Río, could not beat the Gallos de Sancti Spíritus and ended up losing (15-6).

Yohanny Hernandez picked up his third success, veteran Bladimir Baños his second setback, and Yankiel Mauri his sixth save. Alexei Ramirez, Yaser Julio Gonzalez and Yoannis Moreno homered, while Lazaro Fernandez hit 3-for-5 with four RBIs.

For their part, the current champions, the Tunas Lumberjacks, beat the Villa Clara Sugarcane (3-1). The victory went to Ruben Rodriguez, the defeat to Dairon Casanova and the rescue to Keniel Ferraz. Roberto Suliban Baldoquin hit a full return hit.
