Paris 2024 Olympic Games: the complete draw for Hervé Renard’s Bleues group

Hervé Renard and his players are set after the draw for the Olympic draw, carried out this Wednesday in Saint-Denis (Seine-Saint-Denis). The road to the gold medal will first pass through great confrontations against Colombia, New Zealand and Canada, the reigning Olympic champion.

All on July 25 (Colombia) and 31 (New Zealand) in Lyon, as well as July 28 (Canada) in Saint-Étienne, not far from the base camp located in the capital of Gaul for the duration of the competition.

To qualify for the quarter-finals, the French team will have to climb to first or second place in group A. If it finishes third in this group, it still has a chance of climbing into the top 8 but it will be necessary finish among the two best thirds.

It is therefore difficult to predict your opponent for a potential quarter-final. Group B, made up of the United States, Germany, Australia and an African country, is the strongest.

The grand final will take place on August 10 at the Parc des Princes, on the eve of the closing of the Paris 2024 Games. The French team will compete in its third Olympics after a fourth place in 2012 in London and a quarter-final lost in 2016 in Rio. Les Bleues are looking for a first international title in their history.
