The ANS, which sent a questionnaire to all athletes who could potentially qualify, monitors the evolution of their income and will, if necessary, provide a supplement to those selected who do not reach the 15,000 euros per year. Particular attention is also given to athletes with high potential, with another objective. “This involves ensuring athletes listed in the performance units a minimum income of 40,000 euros gross per year, all resources combined,” explains Maguy Nestoret Ontanon, who works within the professional monitoring unit at the ANS.
