Paganese-Palmese: a confirmation and a pleasant surprise

For the twenty-seventh day of Serie D group H, a very interesting match will be played at the “Marcello Torre” in Pagani between the home team and Palmese. Paganese to make up for the defeat of seven days ago in Andria and the guests instead to continue that streak of positive results which allowed the Agro team to get out of the hot zone of the ranking and position themselves in an area where they can absolutely enjoy tranquility of the rest of the championship.

I leave Potenza well in advance to say goodbye to my friends Street Urchins with whom, between a chat about the world of cheering and a mug of beer, time passes too quickly so after having arranged to meet at a future occasion, I gain entry to the field.

It should be noted that it is the first time that I have attended a Palmese match and consequently that I have also seen their ultras at work. The great curiosity is soon rewarded by the contingent of around three hundred fans who arrive in Pagani from nearby Palma Campania. In the sector assigned to them they immediately place the banner “Until the last breath” and the rest of their banners, behind which they gather in a cohesive manner, with a part of those present, evidently less interested in cheering and more in the match, who remain more on the margins. There is a lot of enthusiasm for them and there is also a certain feeling with their team. The support was good, the banners of the various groups were beautiful, the banners were beautiful and most of all, the scarf in particular was beautiful. A truly excellent impact, theirs, on this challenge.

On the other hand, it is almost superfluous to talk about the home ultras, whose style and approach to cheering have become so peculiar as to be a guarantee. The compactness is granitic and gives a lot back also in terms of glance, always original in the workmanship of the material, colorful and continuous in the singing typhus. The flags of the various groups from the North constantly wave in the sky and are notable for a chorus in which they divide the sector into two large groups which leave a void in the middle, which is then closed by the mass who regroup and give their breath away in the chorus.

The result of the pitch favors the home team who prevails with a clear 3 to 0. Three points that restore some tranquility to the environment all after the dismissal of coach Massimo Agovino.

My weekend also ends here and like every time, I make my way back home always happy and satisfied, already thinking about next ultras Sunday.
