The two Olympics continue their good comebacks in the table, while Lens put an end to Brest’s (beautiful) series. The Ligue 1 ranking after 25 days.

Accession to European places, fight for maintenance, there was movement at the top as well as the bottom of the table this weekend during the 25th day of Ligue 1.

First in the opening, Montpellier took 3 important points from the Niçois (2-1), which allows them to breathe and move up to 13th place (26 pts) leaving the red zone behind them. For their part, the Aiglons, now sixth (40 pts), made themselves vulnerable to Lens, and were overtaken in the race for C1 and C3. Since the Sang et Or managed a great operation by ending Brest’s 13-match unbeaten streak (1-0), still second, and climbed to 5th place (42 pts), tied with Lille. LOSC sees its neighbor join it, following the draw (2-2) against Rennes. The third Monaco went to win in Strasbourg (1-0), and puts the SB29 back on the podium by a small point (45 pts). As for the Parisian leader, even after a third draw in a row against Reims (2-2), RAS PSG remains 10 lengths ahead of its Breton runner-up. But without Mbappé, replacing at kick-off, Paris signed a third draw in the league. Chance or coincidence?

In the middle of the table, the two Olympics shone again. After the slap inflicted by Lens (3-0) last week, OL are 10th and have restarted the machine in Lorient (2-0). Toulouse lost at Le Havre (1-0) in a duel on the soft side. At the end of this day, seventh-placed Marseille recorded a 5th success in a row under Gasset (2-0), thanks to a new Aubameyang double, pushing Nantes a little further into the crisis.

With this setback contested by its president Kita for refereeing errors, FC Nantes is first relegated with 25 points, ahead of Metz and Clermont who faced each other in a match won by the Grenats (1-0). The red lantern of Clermont is a little deeper in last place, the Messins can still believe it.
