Nova Arianto admitted that he had already obtained the names of the Indonesian diaspora players who had been selected to be called up for selection U-16 Indonesian National Team.
Previously, Nova received 37 names from the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Of the 37, nine have Indonesian passports. Of these nine, try checking the quality by Nova.
“Already [dapat nama-namanya]”We will still discuss it with PSSI about the mechanism, which we will discuss together,” said Nova on the sidelines of watching the U-16 and U-18 Elite Pro Academy (EPA) final match in Bekasi, West Java, Wednesday. (6/3).
“Maybe we’ll see how and when they can come,” added Nova.
Nova will also call up the 2023/2024 EPA U-16 graduate players, especially from the teams that qualified for the top eight.
It is planned that these names will be called up in the second wave of training camp after Nova helps Shin Tae Yong handle the senior Indonesian National Team to face Vietnam in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.
“What is certain is that we see all the potential that exists, this is the U-16 EPA final, but only a few players appeared from Persis Solo, there were three players whose age met the criteria, 2008-2009,” said Nova.
“The next selection is the second stage which will be held after the FIFA Matchday against Vietnam, the plan is 28-31. We will call all the players from the top eight of the EPA,” added Nova.
From the first wave of selection which was divided into three selection groups for the U-16 Indonesian National Team, Nova reported it to Shin Tae Yong. The rules he made are also reported.
“Just a general report, especially regarding the regulatory issues that I made for the U-16 Indonesian National Team, especially regarding height and training methods,” said Nova.
“Coach Shin is quite happy and there are several suggestions that are really looking for good quality players, not entrusted players. Coach Shin just gave me that message,” added Nova.
