The German Football Federation (Deutscher Fußball-Bund, DFB) has announced that starting from 2027 the US company Nike will be the new technical sponsor of the German national football teams instead of the German company Adidas, its historic supplier. According to the DFB treasurer, Nike made the best offer and consequently after around 70 years the Federation decided to change technical sponsor.
Until and including 2026, however, Adidas will continue to supply shoes, clothing and other equipment to both the men’s and women’s national teams of Germany. The new contract with Nike will begin on January 1, 2027 and will continue until at least the end of 2034.
