Nick Kyrgios announces he wants to return to the courts within a month “if all goes well”

The last time Nick Kyrgios appeared on a tennis court was a long time ago now. A defeat against Wu Yibing in two sets in Stuttgart last June remains the Australian’s only match in 2023. Since then, nothing. But after months of absence and injury, the former world number 13 announced on Instagram that he was close to a return.

“I hope to return to the courts in a month if all goes well,” he revealed on his Instagram account. Since the end of 2022, the 28-year-old has suffered two major injuries, one to his knee and the other to his wrist ligament. This did not prevent him from experiencing the last Australian Open in his own way, as a consultant for Eurosport.
